Muslims Flock To Christian Sites

can you imagine...:

in May 2007,

Father Z programs (http://www.fatherzakaria.com/) where downloaded 2.1 million times.

Islameyat.com had last month alone over 20 million hits.

info.islamexplained.com
is already in the ranking - listed 68,000. This is great for a new website.

Can you imagine that !!!!!!!!

God is moving in a mighty and great way at the Middle East...

An interesting note about these sites is that they are very open about their Christianity and often very strongly and openly against the spirit of Islam. Father Zakaria, who is well-known on Christian satellite TV across the Middle East, has made very controversial statements about the Qur'an (Koran). His TV program is having such a major impact that in some North African countries receivers are running out. It is reported that Muslims who are so angry at him end up watching the whole program and end up praying to receive Jesus.

The islameyat.com site offers audio and written articles with statements such as "spirit full of lies" and an "unclean spirit of Satan". Not exactly light statements for Muslims who read and hear these messages. However, this and like sites, make it clear that Muslims need to hear the Gospel. One site says,

"The spirit that rejected the Son of God and nailed him to the cross 2,000 years ago is alive in Islam today. It denies and hates the Crucified One, and opposes all who are justified through him. A good Muslim thinks he worships the true God and honours him with his whole life. Yet, through Christ we know that Allah in Islam is not God, but a demonic, misleading spirit that has placed one-sixth of mankind under its spell. Whatever may happen, Jesus Christ loves every Muslim. Our Lord, who sits on the throne, can cast out any demon by a movement of his little finger. We can have a firm hope for every Muslim who comes to Jesus on his promise: "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36)."

So why are these sites and Christian TV shows so popular in the Middle East and North Africa? It's not just the controversial, sometimes warlike style that is interesting Muslims. The message seems to be taking hold that truth, not religious zeal, is what mankind needs and wants today. Young Muslims are tired of the status-quo and seeking something deeper, a meaning in and for their lives. The Spirit of the Lord is definitely at work in the Middle East. And if the blessing of God is there, then let us be in the same place of anointing and bless the work of those who are faithful in these areas.

Pray with us for the Middle East and the work of God this coming September and October when we will be praying for 30 days together coinciding with the month of Ramadan. See more at our Christian website, 30-days.net
