30-Days of Prayer for the Muslim World Ramadan 2008 / 1429: September 01 - September 30

Dear friends,

I wanted to let you know the 2008 30-Days prayer booklet is finished. It has a number of changes from last year which we think you will enjoy.

Some of these changes include:

1) Days of Preparation: We are including a time of preparation in advance of the "30-Days." This is because Ramadan begins 1 September when many of you are still on holidays! With days of preparation, you / your church can start early. Congregations can be alerted and praying in advance!

2) Different arrangement: The '08 articles are geographically mixed. That means we are not praying for Africa, Americas, Asia, etc in page sequence.

3) Reduced texts: Most articles have about 20% less text than previous issues. This was done in order to give some breathing space to you "pray-ers" + give translators room for larger fonts. This has been requested by many of you.

4) Sidebar texts: These texts are on various subjects: Islam, more information about the main article, cultural understanding, etc. The goal of these texts is to stimulate and inform you in an easy to read / remember fashion.

Macedonia Prayer request
Our national coordinator in Macedonia is hosting a major prayer meeting with Albanian, Macedonian and Kosovo believers, not an easy task. This is an important time in history for the Church in Kosovo and for the future of all the people who call Kosovo their home.

Please pray:

• that the Church in Kosovo will hear this call to united prayer, and come with hungry hearts to seek the Lord as one Body.
• for the members of KPEK (alliance of protestant churches in Kosovo), who are hosting and leading this gathering, that God would give guidance
• for God to raise up pastors and intercessors to come from the Church in Albania
• for God to raise up pastors and intercessors to come from the Church in Macedonia
• for God to be glorified and Jesus to be lifted up and honored through this humble and united gathering of His people!
• for the Kingdom of God to come and be established in Kosovo!

China Jane Update
Jane had an MRI scan / checkup on the March 26th. She is still waiting for the results. Right now she says she tires easily but otherwise is okay. She is working hard on the Chinese booklet now.
